Friday, May 11th, 6:00-7:15pm
Happy Hour Flow
with Farah Gokturk
and Guest DJ Tom Harvey Spinning Live
Uptown / 4842 Perrier Street

Tom Harvey has been most noticed over the years as a Nightclub and Rave DJ since moving to New Orleans in 1995.  One of the more 'high profile' events he's DJed has been VoodooFest in New Orleans, almost 10 years in a row as a DJ and percussionist with NOOMOON TRIBE.

Being of a spiritual and philosophical mind, the inspiring and more etherial side of electronic fusion music has held his ear for years on end.  Tom has always gravitated towards a balance of natural instrumentation and electronica with his selections.  "The only time I get to mix this kind of music is at my art shows.  Nightclubs are not the right setting for it.  I love this music.  It's what I listen to at home."  Besides DJing, Tom is also a percussionist, a fine art painter, practicing yogi, and has just completed Wild Lotus' Soul School  Interdisciplinary Yoga Teacher Training Program led by Sean Johnson and Mitchel Bleier.

"I'm finishing my Yoga Teacher Training at Wild Lotus this month and I am thrilled to bring this side of my music and mixing into the yoga studio.  It's a perfect fit!"  -DJ Tom Harvey

The 4th Annual Peace by Peace Yogathon

The Peace by Peace Yogathon is a national collaborative fundraiser supporting grassroots, yoga-based nonprofits throughout the United States. These amazing organizations are working to extend the reach of yoga into the most disadvantaged sections of society including shelters for abused children, the homeless, and domestic violence victims as well as HIV clinics, prisons, and addiction recovery centers. But they can't do it without your help!

This July we invite you to join yogis from across the country and challenge yourself to practice as much yoga as you can for one month through the Peace by Peace Yogathon. Upon registering you will receive your own personal online fundraising page through which your friends and family can support your effort. As they pledge a small dollar amount for each class you take, you will in turn support your own personal growth as well as the growth of so many others in need of the healing gifts of yoga. Each dollar you raise will be used to support the nonprofit of your choice. It's that simple!
