5 Week Course: YOGA FOR LIFE – The Radiance Sutras guided by AC Lambeth

Yoga For Life is a course devoted to the study and real-world application of the wisdom of yoga as presented in various texts. This fall we explore The Radiance Sutras, a modern translation of the Vijnana-bhairava-tantra, an ancient yogic teaching on mindful living, using simple but profound techniques to reveal and savor the sacred in the everyday.

One of the most important texts in the yogic philosophy known as Kashmir Shaivism, the Vijnana-bhairava takes the form of a dialogue between Shiva and Shakti, the god and goddess, as they discuss the true nature of reality and how to live more consciously. They investigate the wonders of the universe and reveal ways to take the esoteric teachings of yoga into everyday life in order to enjoy and savor every moment.

In this new translation, The Radiance Sutras; 112 Gateways to the Yoga of Wonder and Delight, Lorin Roche draws on his many years as meditation teacher to create an inspiring and poetic rendition of this timeless love song. The beautiful verses offer practical methods of expanding our consciousness to experience first-hand the divinity and connection of all things.
Over five weeks, we will not only study the concepts comprising this non-dual yogic philosophy, we will also practice many of the mindfulness techniques outlined within, including breathing, visualization, chanting, and meditation and thereby develop a richer and more intimate connection with each moment of our lives.

Required Reading: The Radiance Sutras; 112 Gateways to the Yoga of Wonder and Delight, translated by Lorin Roche with an introduction by Shiva Rea.

Sundays 3:30-5pm beginning October 1st and concluding October 29

This course does not include asana (postural yoga) practice and is open to all experience
levels.

This course is offered both in-person at the studio and online. In-person spots are limited,
but everyone who registers will receive a link to the Zoom meetings, and all meetings will
be recorded.
