This 4-week online course introduces different mindfulness techniques, application of mindfulness practices in understanding destructive emotions and cultivating positive emotions. Beyond simply decreasing stress, this course offers approaches and skills to help students find more satisfaction in their daily life.
Each class will offer a lively blend of instruction, partner discussion, meditation practice and class exercises. After completing this course, students will:
- Understand physical posture, breathing techniques and the science behind mindfulness
- Increase their tools to apply mindful strategies to everyday living
- Gain access to methods and practices that sustain a meditation practice
This course is a good fit for beginner and intermediate practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of mindfulness. Pre-registration is required. Upon registration, participants will be sent a Zoom meeting link along with the course password. Participants are encouraged to show their video during the live class and mute their audio. Participants using a laptop do not have to download any software. If you are using an iPhone for these meetings, attendees are asked to download the free Zoom app. Online bonus includes recordings of each class.
