An Integrated Yoga Journey with Himalayan Breathwork, Mantra, & Kriya

Join Anne Compton for a brand-new series to refine and recharge your energy using techniques from the Himalayan Vedic tradition. In this 3-week series, students will learn the sacred practices of Himalayan kriya and breathwork, in addition to mantra, meditation and Hatha yoga to awaken to the infinite potential within, known as kundalini. Between sessions, students will also commit to a thirty-minute daily breath kriya and meditation practice for twenty-one days.

In each session, students will be guided through ways to connect with the layers of the kosha on deeper and deeper levels, to move beyond the limits of the thinking mind and into the boundless power and wisdom waiting within. Students will learn the tools of sacred kriya as taught for some thousand years by Himalayan masters to their disciples. These unique practices employ specific breathing techniques, mantra, and mindful movement to shift and focus energy and to help reveal the silent, peaceful well-being within.

Students will also be given a specific breath kriya set at each session to practice for the following week at home. The set is simple and effective and supports cultivating a meditation and mindfulness practice to more fully connect with inner stillness and creative potential. This home practice is optional but required for students wishing to earn Yoga Alliance CEUs (18.5, including contact and non-contact hours). Those who complete the home practice will submit a short reflective essay and then receive credit.

Students may sign up for the whole series or drop in to one or two sessions, space allowing. Only students who complete all three sessions as well as the home practice are eligible for Yoga Alliance CEUs.

Sessions are held in person for three Sundays on June 9, 16, and 23rd from 3-5pm. Between sessions students practice their thirty-minute kriya set at home daily for 21 days.

No experience with yoga, kundalini kriyas, meditation, or breathwork is required. The practices are accessible to everyone and powerful for all.

The benefits of Himalayan breathwork and kriya are immediate as well as long-lasting, resulting in clarity of mind, calmness of spirit, and renewed vigor of body, mind, and soul, and they can be practiced anytime on your own.

This practice is aimed at helping each of us evolve by tapping into our full power and learning to master our minds.
