Kundalini Rising: 3 Week Chakra Series

Join Anne Compton for a powerful series to refine and recharge your energy using techniques from the Himalayan Yog-Vedic tradition. In this 3-week series, students will learn the sacred practices of Himalayan kriya and breathwork, in addition to mantra, meditation and Hatha yoga to awaken to the infinite potential within, known as kundalini. This series will focus specifically on the chakra, or energy centers, along the spine, as access points for deep transformation and healing. Between sessions, students may also commit to a 20-minute daily breath kriya and meditation practice for full integration and greater results.

In each session, students will be guided through ways to connect with the seven chakra on deeper and deeper levels, to move beyond the limits of the thinking mind and into the boundless power and wisdom waiting within. Students will learn the tools of sacred kriya as taught for some thousand years by Himalayan masters to their disciples. These unique practices employ specific breathing techniques, mantra, and mindful movement to shift and focus energy and to help reveal the silent, peaceful well-being within.

Students will also be given a specific breath kriya set at each session to practice for the following week at home. The set is simple and effective and supports cultivating ameditation and mindfulness practice to more fully connect with inner stillness and creative potential.

This home practice is optional but required for students wishing to earn Yoga Alliance CEUs (16.5, including contact and non-contact hours). Those who complete the home practice will submit a short reflective essay and then receive credit.

No experience with yoga, kundalini kriyas, chakra work, meditation, or breathwork is required. The practices are accessible to everyone and powerful for all.
