What is Vedic Meditation?

Vedic Meditation is a simple meditation technique designed to effortlessly connect you to the peace, clarity, and strength within you.

It centers around a short but powerful breathing practice, a sacred kriya only shared one-on-one, and a personal mantra designed just for you. The method takes only twenty minutes and is practiced twice a day, and the effects are immediate and long-lasting, resonating throughout your day.

Because Vedic meditation is so simple, you can practice anytime, anywhere and instantly shift your mindset to one that is grounded, at peace, and alert.

How This Course Differs from Others

The Vedic Meditation Initiation Course brings you a time-tested method of meditation that is taught only in person and has been shared for thousands of years in the Vedic tradition in India. The format allows for you to benefit from this ancient knowledge in an intimate and responsive setting with a teacher trained in the technique.

Over the four days, you’ll have ample time for practicing the technique within a supportive and intimate community. You’ll receive your personal mantra from a certified master teacher. You can ask questions and receive one-on-one attention to help you fit meditation seamlessly into your daily life.

After the four days, you’ll gain access to the monthly meditation group that will give you sustained support and opportunities to stay connected to a growing community.

FAQ’s

Do I need to have experience with yoga?

No experience with yoga or other meditation is required. The practice is straight-forward and easy, accessible to people of all ages (children over 7) and walks of life.

Do I have to sit in lotus position?

No! Vedic meditation can be done seated comfortably in a chair or on your couch or even in bed. Of course, if you like sitting on the floor, that’s fine, too!

The approach is one of relaxing into the inner state of calm that already exists within you, beneath the layers of thinking. The practice both relaxes and energizes, naturally regulating the central nervous system.

How can I fit Vedic Meditation into my already busy life?

Vedic meditation is designed for busy lives! It takes just 20 minutes twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon or evening.

In the time often spent scrolling mindlessly on the phone, practicing Vedic Meditation instead will refresh, relax, and reconnect you. In fact, people report that once they establish a meditation practice, their day seems more spacious and less harried. Being more fully present, with greater focus and mental clarity, they find they accomplish more with greater satisfaction and less stress.

Will it really change my life?

In a word, yes!

Meditation helps calm the body and the mind, and its benefits range from greater mental focus and ability to learn, to better regulation of emotions and stronger vitality of physical health and well-being.

In study after study, meditation has been proven to help

  • reduce stress and PTSD
  • relieve depression and anxiety
  • improve sleep
  • sharpen mental focus and acuity
  • support creativity
  • regulate emotions
  • raise energy
  • establish an inner sense of joy, fulfillment, and contentment

People with a daily meditation practice experience greater calm, clarity, patience, easier interpersonal interactions, and sustained energy throughout their whole day.

They report not only experiencing small shifts in perspective but also discovering huge reserves of strength and resolve that before eluded them. They find they have easier access to creative problem-solving. They tap into a more expansive and grounded sense of self.

Most importantly, meditators experience a deeper enjoyment of life on a moment-to-moment basis. No longer so lost in anxiety, regret, or distraction, they fully show up for their lives, meeting both challenge and surprise with greater ease. They can taste the sweetness of life more fully and begin to experience all the aspects of it with calm and skillful presence.

Over the course of one weekend, you’ll learn the components to a practice that will anchor you in peace, clarity, and strength for a lifetime.
